How to Set Up Wyze Climate Sensor for Accurate Kitchen Humidity Detection

Setting up the Wyze Climate Sensor for monitoring kitchen humidity is quick and easy. First, ensure you have an active Wyze Home Monitoring subscription and that your Wyze Sense Hub is set up. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then the plus sign (+) in the top right. Select Add Device > Sensors > Wyze Climate Sensor, and choose the hub you want to connect to. Remove the plastic battery tab from the sensor, then press and hold the reset button on the side until the light flashes. The setup will complete automatically, and you can name your sensor for easy identification. For optimal humidity detection in your kitchen, mount the sensor using the included adhesive. Before permanently placing it, test the sensor in your desired location to ensure it works well at that distance from your Wyze Sense Hub. Clean the surface, remove the adhesive backing, and stick the sensor in place. Remember, the adhesive is permanent, so make sure you’re happy with the location before mounting. With the Wyze app, you can easily track temperature and humidity in your kitchen, set personalized alerts for humidity changes, and even automate actions like turning on a dehumidifier if needed.
