To keep your Wyze Battery Cam Pro charged using the Wyze Battery Cam Solar Panel, follow these simple steps:
1.
Unbox and Prepare: Inside the box, you'll find the Wyze Solar Panel, wall mount, adapter cables (including a USB-C adapter cable for the Battery Cam Pro), screws, wall anchors, and a quick start guide.
2.
Choose a Location: Select a spot that receives direct sunlight for most of the day. For optimal charging, mount the solar panel facing south and tilt it upward at a 30° angle.
3.
Mount the Solar Panel:
- Use the included wall mount base and mark the screw holes.
- Drill pilot holes if needed and insert wall anchors for soft surfaces.
- Secure the wall mount base with the provided screws.
- Attach the universal joint and locking screw cap to the back of the solar panel.
- Connect the solar panel to the wall mount base and tighten securely.
4.
Connect the Solar Panel to the Camera:
- For Wyze Battery Cam Pro, use the included USB-C adapter cable.
- Remove the silicone cover from the charging port on the bottom of your camera.
- Insert the USB-C end of the adapter cable into the camera’s charging port.
- Ensure the connection is secure and weatherproof.
5.
Manage the Cable: Use the 13-foot power cable to reach your camera comfortably. Coil any excess cable behind the winding board on the back of the solar panel.
6.
Adjust the Angle: The solar panel can be adjusted up to 90° at the elbow or side-to-side by loosening the locking screw cap. After adjusting, retighten the screws.
7.
Charging Operation:
- The solar panel will charge your camera during daylight hours when exposed to direct sunlight.
- Charging automatically stops when the camera battery reaches 100% and resumes when it drops below 90%.
- The solar panel will not charge at night or in the absence of sunlight.
By following these steps, you can keep your Wyze Battery Cam Pro powered for longer periods without the need to bring it indoors for recharging.
